Public Shared Function Intersect( _
   ByVal left As TdPeriodDate, _
   ByVal right As TdPeriodDate _
) As TdPeriodDate

public static TdPeriodDate Intersect(
   TdPeriodDate left,
   TdPeriodDate right
)
public:
static TdPeriodDate Intersect(
   TdPeriodDate left,
   TdPeriodDate right
)

Parameters

left
The left TdPeriodDate operand.
right
The right TdPeriodDate operand.

Return Value

A period that is the intersection between the left and right operands is returned.
Remarks

A TdPeriodDate.Null is returned under the following scenarios:

In the following examples (bL, eL) is the left operand and (bR, eR) is the right operand.

Example Comments
             |------|--------|------|
             bL     bR       eL     eR
                    |========|

Intersection = (bR, eL)
             |------|---------|------|
             bL     bR        eR     eL
                    |=========|

Intersection = (bR, eR)
             |--------|---------|
             bL     eL bR       eR

Intersection = null

The ending bound of the first operand is the same as the starting bound of the second operand, eL = bR.

             |--------|---|------|
             bL       eL  bR     eR

Intersection = null

The periods do not intersect.
