Teradata.Client.Provider
LessThanOrEqual Method (TdPeriodTime)

Teradata.Client.Provider Namespace > TdPeriodTime Structure : LessThanOrEqual Method
An instance of TdPeriodTime.
An instance of TdPeriodTime.
Compares two TdPeriodTime structures to determine whether the left operand is less than or equal to the right operand.
Syntax
'Declaration

Public Shared Function LessThanOrEqual( _
   ByVal left As TdPeriodTime, _
   ByVal right As TdPeriodTime _
) As Boolean
'Usage

Dim left As TdPeriodTime
Dim right As TdPeriodTime
Dim value As Boolean

value = TdPeriodTime.LessThanOrEqual(left, right)
public static bool LessThanOrEqual(
   TdPeriodTime left,
   TdPeriodTime right
)
public:
static bool LessThanOrEqual(
   TdPeriodTime left,
   TdPeriodTime right
)

Parameters

left
An instance of TdPeriodTime.
right
An instance of TdPeriodTime.

Return Value

A boolean is returned that indicates the result of the comparison.
Remarks

In order to perform this comparison the beginning and ending bounds of the left and right operands are compared against each other. The left is equal to or less than the right if the following is true:

    ((left.Begin < right.Begin) OR (left.Begin == right.Begin AND left.End <= right.End))

The value returned is true if the left is less than or equal to the right, false otherwise.

Return Value Description
true left and right are not TdPeriodTime.Null and left is less than or equal to right.
false

left and / or right is Null

-or-

left is greater than right.

Comparison operators always returns false if one of the operands is Null. Therefore, you must not assume that the reverse condition is true. For example you cannot assume that the left operand is greater than the right operand if the LessThanOrEqual operator returns false.
