Database, User ID, Password and Account String Character Repertoire

In Teradata Database Release 14.10 object names may be consist of 1 - 128 Unicode characters. Prior to Teradata Database Release 14.10, object names could only consist of 1 - 30 bytes from the Latin or KANJISJIS character sets.

The .NET Data Provider logon string is no longer constrained by the session character set repertoire. The ConnectionStringBuilder User Id, Password, Database and AccountString object names are represented as Unicode strings and the logon command is issued in a Unicode session character set.
