Features Description
Working with Large Objects (LOBs) The .NET Data Provider for Teradata supports retrieving LOBs from the Teradata Database.
Working with Stored Procedures .NET Data Provider for Teradata supports the creation of Internal Stored Procedures.
User Defined Function and External Stored Procedure Creation The creation of User Defined Functions (UDF) and External Stored Procedures are also supported by the provider.
User Defined Type Support User Defined Type (UDT) is supported beginning with Teradata V2R6.1.
Generated Data Retrieval Support Generated Data Retrieval is supported beginning with Teradata V2R6.2.
Working with Query Bands The .NET Data Provider for Teradata supports Query Bands when connected to the Teradata Database 12.0 or higher.
ANSI and Integer Date Forms By default the .NET Data Provider for Teradata supports ANSI Date Form. However the Data Provider allows applications to set session Date Form to Integer when connected to the Teradata Database 12.0.1.2 or higher.
Working with Extended Object Names In Teradata Database Release 14.10 object names have been extended from 30 Latin or KanjiSJIS bytes to 128 Unicode characters. Object name support is affected by the session character set within the Data Provider.
Redrive and Recoverable Network Protocol Support In Teradata Database Release 14.10 Redrive and Recoverable Network Protocol (RNP) were introduced. RNP and Redrive work together to re-establish a connection and redrive active requests after a network or database failure.
